About Bondsville Mill Park

Bondsville Mill Park is a unique township park located in Downingtown, PA. It has beautiful hiking trails, plenty of water so you can explore the creeks, and is dog friendly.

This little park has a lot to explore. From an old mill that is in the process of being restored, to an arboretum, an ampitheater, and even beautiful monarch butterflies that they tag and release into the park.

Bondsville Mill Park is a municipal Park owned by East Brandywine Township. Its 47 acres features an historic textile mill at it’s core, 2 miles of nature trails, gardens, and an arboretum.

It’s feature garden is a one acre garden in the foreground of the historic mill buildings that focuses on sustainability and low maintenance gardening; the garden was designed by David Culp.

For those interested in nature, Bondsville Mill Park offers events throughout the year. Workshops on seed sowing, to fun activities for the kids with geo-caching (a treasure hunt on the property), any time of year is a great time to visit.

Our aim is to study, restore and preserve the natural habitat and to provide support and information that will inspire our neighbors to respect and care for nature in their backyards. A park where visitors can see and contemplate history, and take time to honor and remember those that lived and worked in this historic village.
